THE 1950S

Music has always been a way for people to convey their deepest feelings. Music in the 1950’s was no different. With the advent of styles like rock and roll and swing as well as the development of pop and jazz music, the 1950’s were an era of great musical development. Artists in this time period drew inspiration from past songs and created a fusion of contemporary and traditional tones to create music that would inspire and remain popular well beyond the 1950’s. Today, many songs borrow parts of songs that were written in the 1950’s and recreate them in our own modern way.
