MEN

  • For men, the gray flannel suit became commonplace.

  • Pleated pants also became a largely utilized garment. They were often part of the gray suits that men wore.

  • Also, although women usually wore dresses, when wearing loosely fitted trousers they were almost always pleated.

WOMEN

  • Of the variety of coats that women wore, the most popular were the pea coats. Although some had a nipped waistline, often, women would were coats that were loosely draped around their dresses. Also, these coats would highlights strips of fur or velvet.
